Meet Donna,
Assistant Coach of our U16 girls team for the 2026-2027 season.
With more than 20 years of coaching experience, including two decades coaching high school girls volleyball, Donna has dedicated her career to helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. A recently retired teacher, she brings a lifetime of experience in mentoring, teaching, and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
As a longtime competitor, Donna played over 15 years of Tier 1 Women’s and Tier 1 Co-Ed volleyball in the Edmonton Volleyball Association, giving her a strong understanding of the game and what it takes to compete at a high level.
Her coaching philosophy goes beyond developing volleyball skills. She is passionate about creating an environment where athletes build confidence, resilience, discipline, and teamwork while developing a lifelong love for the sport. With a background in Physical Education, Education, and Holistic Nutritional Consulting, she believes the best athletes are developed by focusing on the whole person, not just the player.
She is organized, supportive, athlete-centered approach and is very excited to help Empire athletes challenge themselves, compete with confidence, and enjoy every step of their volleyball journey.
